Ringleader

Privacy policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

Ringleader is an iPhone app that turns the meetings on your calendar into alarms. It is made by Ifeanyi Ezurike ("we"). This policy explains what Ringleader reads, what it stores, and how to remove it.

Calendars on your iPhone

If you allow calendar access, Ringleader reads the events in the iPhone Calendar app (iCloud, and any accounts you added in iOS Settings) on your phone only. That information is never sent to our server or anyone else. Your reminder settings and per-meeting choices are also stored only on your phone.

Outlook / Microsoft 365 and Google Calendar

If you connect an Outlook or Google account, you sign in with Microsoft or Google and grant Ringleader read-only access to your calendars. We request only:

Ringleader never reads email, contacts or files, and never creates, edits or deletes calendar events.

Our server, which runs on Cloudflare, keeps:

When your phone asks for your meetings, the server fetches them from Microsoft or Google and passes them to your phone. It does not keep a copy of meeting details, attendees, locations or notes.

Calendar links

If you add a calendar link instead (an ICS link you published from Outlook or Google), our server stores that link, encrypted, because anyone who has it can read that calendar. Every few minutes the server opens the link to read your meetings' times and titles so it can keep your alarms up to date. It keeps the same limited information listed above for connected accounts (the calendar's name, and each upcoming meeting's ID and start time), not the calendar itself. Disconnecting the calendar in Ringleader deletes the link from our server.

Your device

To wake Ringleader when a calendar changes, the server stores a random device ID, your Apple push notification token, and your time zone (used to show times in notifications). We don't collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, advertising ID or analytics.

Who else sees your data

We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, don't use it for advertising, and don't use it to train AI models.

Google API data

Ringleader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to show your meetings in Ringleader and set alarms for them.

Deleting your data

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sign-in tokens and calendar links are encrypted at rest. Each phone gets its own secret key for talking to the server, and the server stores only a hash of it.

Children

Ringleader is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
